Fact: The Keystone Pipeline XL energy project makes no sense if you do not want new jobs, a reliable source of energy, and lower energy costs.
* The Keystone Pipeline will carry Canadian oil to U.S. refineries in Texas and Oklahoma, create jobs, and decrease our dependency on imported oil.
* By2019, employment related directly to the Keystone XL project could reach as much as 179,000 jobs, conferring $6.5 billion in aggregate personal income gains.
* Upon completion, the pipeline will have the capacity to carry 700,000 barrels per day (bpd) and the ability to transport 900,000 bpd.
