I'm of the opinion that most Montanans, and most Montana Wildlife Federation members, want the oil pipeline built. And soon!
The reasons are obvious. We want the oil! We want the good-paying jobs! We want the revenue! We want a strong economy! We want lower fuel prices! We want less dependence on Middle East oil!
Obviously, we all want as little destruction to the natural environment as possible and need to be insistent that engineering standards include appropriate environmental protections. I trust that those governments and businesses involved in the oversight of this project will be diligent to carry out those protections, including the state of Montana.
